Navorex Bags supports OEM and private-label backpack projects for importers, distributors, brands, retail chains and project buyers. Development can start from one of our existing backpack constructions, a physical reference sample, a drawing or a complete tech pack.
Before sampling, we review the product specification together with the estimated order quantity, target market, branding and packaging requirements. This allows material availability, construction feasibility, sample work, MOQ and expected production timing to be evaluated before the project moves into bulk production.
Start From an Existing Style, Sample, Drawing or Tech Pack
A backpack project does not always need to begin with a completely new design. Buyers can select an existing construction and change selected specifications, or provide a reference backpack, drawing or tech pack for further development.
At the initial review stage, we normally confirm the backpack type, dimensions, capacity, compartment layout, materials, lining, important components, estimated quantity, branding and packing requirements.
Clear drawings, reference photos or a physical sample are especially useful when the project involves a specific pocket layout, laptop compartment, carrying structure or other construction details. Confirming these points early helps reduce unnecessary sample revisions and improves quotation accuracy.
The level of customization also affects MOQ and development time. Color or branding changes are normally simpler than projects requiring new dimensions, different internal structures, special fabrics or newly sourced components.
Materials, Colors, Size and Backpack Structure
Material selection affects appearance, weight, durability, cost and production handling. Available backpack materials include polyester, nylon, Oxford fabric, canvas, RPET, PU, mesh, lining fabrics and foam, subject to the product specification and material availability.
Buyers can review suitable options through our Materials & Fabric Options page. Fabric color, lining color and component matching should be confirmed before the production sample is approved, especially when several materials are combined in one backpack.
Dimensions, capacity and internal organization can also be developed around the intended use. The Size, Capacity & Compartment Design page covers changes such as overall dimensions, laptop compartments, internal dividers, front pockets, side pockets and storage layouts.
Logo, Labels and Private-Label Details
Branding should be confirmed together with the backpack material and construction rather than treated as a final decoration step. Logo size, placement and artwork can affect the selected process, sample preparation and finished appearance.
Projects can also include brand labels, hangtags, product identification and barcode information. The appropriate branding method should be reviewed against the selected fabric, artwork and required finish before sampling. More details can be found under Logo & Branding Options.
Private-label details should be included in the approved specification so that positioning, artwork and identification remain consistent during bulk production.
Sample Development and Pre-Production Approval
Sampling is the main control point between product development and bulk production.
Standard backpack samples typically require about 5–10 working days. Projects involving new structures, special materials or additional development work may require around 10–15 days.
During sample review, we check the agreed dimensions, materials, compartment arrangement, function, workmanship, components, branding and relevant packaging details. Any required revisions should be resolved before the specification is released for bulk production.
Once the construction and production sample are approved, they become the reference for material preparation and production. This helps maintain consistency
MOQ, Pricing and Bulk Production Timing
Standard backpack constructions usually start around 300–500 pcs. Projects with deeper material, color, structure, component or private-label customization may require higher quantities depending on the specification.
Quotation is based on more than backpack size. Fabric, lining, foam, zippers, buckles, webbing, compartment construction, sewing complexity, branding and packing method can all affect unit cost.
After the sample and specification are approved, normal bulk production is around 25–40 days, depending on order quantity, material readiness and construction complexity.
Production then moves through material preparation, cutting, sewing, reinforcement, assembly, inspection and packing against the approved specification.
Private Label Packaging and Export Preparation
Packaging can be developed around individual polybags, product labels, barcode information, private-label packing and export cartons. Buyers requiring branded or project-specific packing can review further details under Private Label & Packaging.
Before shipment release, packing quantities, carton information and shipping marks are checked against the confirmed order requirements.
EXW, FOB, CIF and DDP shipments can be coordinated according to the destination and agreed order arrangement.
What to Send for an OEM Backpack Review
For a more accurate feasibility review and quotation, buyers should provide the backpack type, reference photo or tech pack, required dimensions or capacity, preferred materials, estimated quantity by style and color, branding requirements, packaging requirements and destination market.
If specific testing, a target delivery date or a preferred shipping term is required, this information should also be provided at the beginning of the project.
A clear specification allows material, MOQ, construction and production issues to be identified before sampling rather than after bulk production has started.
